Okay, so admittedly, I have been excruciatingly lax with staying in contact, posting stuffs and generally just using DA. I don't even have the excuse of being all disillusioned by the site, or disgusted with the logo change or that I've migrated to Tumblr/ have an art page or whatever, because I really haven't done any of those things. I've just honestly been so busy with everything that I haven't even thought about it. Last year was a big one - it was the sickest I've ever been, with three hospital stays, several ER visits and a veritable quincunx of weird maladies; but it was also a truly wonderful year as well, because :iconchanelrossouw: and I got engaged in a most endearingly quirky manner as only befits us: she proposed to ME in an isolation ward using a space case and a gold marker (because she wasn't allowed to touch me).

I was blown away, and so happy and just everything! Then there was also being featured in :iconvelocityanthology:, 'That Bulletproof Kid", and a mysterious Star Wars project which you'll see soon! :) Also, whilst I was too sick to go, my teammates went back to SDCC and kicked major butt! I presented at the first ever African CUMULUS conference, the Design Indaba and various other events around SA. Also, the :iconmoray-eel: and I will be running the first ever Comic Channel at this year's Design Indaba, which is a HUGE achievement for the team! I'll give you more details as soon as we're ready!

I also finally got to see the Foo Fighters live in concert, which was one of the best experiences that I've ever had! :D It was AMAZING!

Christmas was also glorious, with many spolings. Then we headed down to Uvongo in the South Coast of KZN for some much-needed rest.

This year has kinda started on a bad foot with my car pretty much falling apart (and it won't be cheap to fix) and I also had a dodgy mole removed, which I'm really, REALLY hoping isn't cancerous. :P Bleh.

Anyways, congrats to Kurosakura-kun, who once again took the Kiriban! HAHAHAHA! I think I should just default commission you every 5000 views... ;) (I'll get cracking on your prize as soon as I have a spare second!)

Anyways, may 2015 be glorious for all of you!

Something Sneaky
A quick preview of a little something I’m busy working on. ;) I can’t say much about it, but it’s one of the reasons I’ve been so quiet. :)

Success by CaptainUnobservant
Success

A good buddy of mine commissioned be to create an illustration that describes 'Success' in any way I see fit. Now this is a pretty broad topic, so it took me quite a while to figure out what to draw, and then I came up with this. He and I both love the whole military thing, so I created two characters (a berserker and a stealth operative) that would occur in my 'Wanton' universe that could best express what I think success is. So here it is:

Success

For some, success is something to be shouted about, to gloat and flaunt and share with the world. They bare the scars of their trials, of their failures and even of other's enmity, but they continue forward in shameless glee.

Others are humble, keeping their success quiet for they neither seek nor need the attention. To them, success simply lies in achieve the goals that were set ahead of them. They are calculating, calm and precise. They know every parameter, plan for every contingency and leave quietly once all objectives are achieved.

Both have their place, and both can be effective, but it's in the combination of both that we can truly find success.

Thanks, :iconironsage:, this was awesome!
